There's a common misconception that bespoke jewellery automatically commands a higher price tag. However, in reality, the final price of a particular piece of my jewellery is independent of whether it's made to your design, or to mine.

Design & Materials

The real factors affecting the price are based on the requirements behind the design and the choice of materials used. That your creation is specially commissioned is not a factor affecting the price. Not surprisingly, more intricate designs, those incorporating special mechanisms, and designs where the materials need extra special care and attention, are all likely to take longer to create and to call on a wider range of skills and techniques.

So, no, special commissions are not more costly. Rather, special commissions are original creations driven by your personal design.
